THE CEDAR COUNTY NEWS - August 13, 1915 DROWNS AT WYNOT HAROLD BESTE MEETS SAD END ENTERS WATER WHILE TOO HOT Body Recoved in An Hour After Accident By Wynot Citizens - Remains Shipped to Vermillion Harold Beste drowned ___day afternoon at about __ o'clock in Main Bow creek a mile and a half from Wynot while swimming. He entered the water while hot and took cramps. He was 19 years old and the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Beste of Vermillion, South Dakota. He had been working with his father at his _____ painting in the neighborhood of Wynot. A group of young boys were, with ____ at the site of the accident and reported the drowning to citizens of Wynot, who after about an hour's search, recovered the body. The funeral was held from St. Agnes Church in Vermillion at 10 o'clock Tuesday, the body having been shipped to that place on Monday. Harold was born at Creighton, June 19, 18__, and was an ____ young man of good habits. Besides his parents, two brothers, Raymond of Hartington and Arnold of Omaha, and one sister, Vera, at home, survive him. F. Reifert and J.O. Beste of this city are uncles of the deceased.
