Rev. O.L. Levorson officiated. Mrs. Beyschau died January 10th in Venice, Calif., at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Seeley. She suffered a stroke September 27th, a week after her 90th birthday. Burial was in the Wynot Cemetery under the direction of the Smith-Richendifer Funeral home. Pallbearerers were Chris Thompson and Bernard Schager, and four nephews, Edward Jones, Jack Redmond, Arthur Clemensen, and Harvey Clemensen. Amelia Beyschau was born September 20th 1870 near Prairie du Chien, Wis., the daughter of Mary and Charles Riibe. The family came to Cedar county in a covered wagon when Mrs. Beyschau was eight years old. She was married August 23rd, 1899 to Fritz R. Beyschau and in 1949 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. Beyschau died in October 1953. Since then Mrs. Beyschau has lived with her daughters, Mrs. Seeley of Venice and Mrs. Victor Nelson of Wynot. The Beyschau family lived at Wynot for many years and in 1929 moved to the Hartington area. Survivors include five children, Mrs. Seeley and Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Florence Long of Tucson, Ariz. Peter Beyschau of Hartington, and Lloyd Beyschau of Omaha, NE. One sister, Minnie Curry of Sacramento, Calif., and two granddaughters. Attending the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Eckert, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eckert, Mrs. Mildred Redmond and Jack Redmond all of Sioux Falls, Arthur Clemensen, Georgia Clemensen, Dalores Clemensen and Mr. and Mrs. Harvy Clemensen and Mr. And Mrs. Frank Mahaney all of Sioux City, Mrs. Nick Browson and Mr. and Mrs. William Lilly of Yankton and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Thompson of Gayville, SD. A short memorial services was held in the chapel of Pierce Brothers in Pierce, SD January 11. Pastor W.D. Meyers officiated.
