Bracht SIOUX CITY, Ia. - Frank W. Bracht, 93, Sioux City, IOwa, died Aug. 17, 1998, at the Indian HIlls Nursing and Rehavilitation Center following a brief illness. Services were Aug. 21 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Sioux City, with the Rev. Lawrence McCarty and MOnsignor Nicholas Ruba officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Iowa. Pallbearers were Mike, Steve and Michael Bracht, Doug Coulson and Tim and Jeff Hegarty. Mr. Bracht was born May 9, 1905, to Joseph and Francisca (Schoneberg) Bracht in Hartington. He married Caroline H. Eichenseer Sept. 24, 1929, in Crofton. She died Jan. 16, 1982. in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple moved from their farm in Hartington to Sioux City in 1944. He was employed with Wertz Feed and later with Perkins Seed and Feed. He was then employed with St. Michael's School from 1960 to 1967. They moved to Morovia, Calif., in 1967, then back to Sioux City in 1969. He was employed at Red Owl Store, Northside Bakery and later at St. Michael's School. He was a handyman for over 20 years after leaving St. Michael's, retiring at the age of 91. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and was previously a Eucharistic minister. Survivors include three sons and their wives, Robert and Ella, Sioux City, Iowa; Ronald and Linda, Everett, Wash.; and Larry and Nina, Little Elm, Texas; three daughters, Donna and her husband Don Coulson, Carol and her husband, Ron Hegarty, and Mary Jo Bracht, all of Sioux City, IOwa; three sisters, Marie Ruger and Ann Saylor, both of Coleridge, and Elizabeth Crandall, Hartington; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sons; three brothers, Joe, Bill and Leo; and a sister, Gertrude Bracht. Wed., August 26, 1998 - Cedar County News
