THOMAS BREWER FUNERAL ON TUESDAY Wynot - Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas Brewer, 82, who died at her home Saturday after a weeks illness, were held from the Methodist church here at 2 0'clock tuesday afternooon. Ira Wilcox of Coleridge officiated. Burial was made in the family lot in the Wynot Cemetery under the dirction of Smith funeral home. Pallbearers were Ira Schram and Giles Wilbur of Newcastle, Johnny and Joe Brewer of Yankton, Norman Wilbur of Spencer and Art Driver of Wynot. Mary Penticoff was born April 2, 1870, on her parents homestead east of St. James, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Penticoff. With the exception of one year spent in Illinois, she was a life long resident of this community. She was married to Thomas Brewer, December 19, 1887, in Yankton territory in the days when no marriage license was required. Mr. Brewer died October 16, 1950. They made their home on an acreage at St. James until about nine years ago when they moved to Wynot where Mr. Brewer died. Mrs. Brewer had been in poor health, but she was able to be up and around until about a week before her death. She is survived by two sons, Louis and Marvin Brewer, both of Yankton, two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Blair of Yankton and Mrs. Edna Watson of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Della Reiser of Wynot; a brother, Al Penticoff of Coleridge and several grandchildren.
