Brodersen rites held May 3 at Coleridge Mrs. Ernest Brodersen, 58, died in a Wayne hospital May 1, 1964. She had been ill one and a half years and seriously the past 2 months. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 o'clock p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran church in Coleridge. Rev. Marvin Rothfusz officiated. Burial was in the Lawn Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers were Chris Andersen, Herbert Bottolfsen, Carleton Nelson, William Siemers, Art Bottolfson and Dean Nordby. Alice Esther Lentz was born at Hartington, November 17, 1905, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lentz. She was married to Ernest Brodersen February 5, 1929, at Hartington. The couple resided on a farm east of Hartington since their marriage. Her whole life was spent in Cedar county. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church in Coleridge and a member of the Ladies' Aid. She is survived by her husband; 3 daughters: Mrs. Harold (Donna) Flom of Coleridge; Mrs. William (Barbara) Schindler of Sioux City, and Judy, who attends college at Wayne; 3 sons: Allen of Laurel; Roger and Robert of Hartington; 7 grandchildren; 5 brothers: George and Fred of Bloomfield; Carol of Coleridge. Harry and Irvin of Hartington; 3 sisters: Mrs. Jessie Colwell, Niobrara; Mrs. Jens Brodersen, Coleridge and Miss Leona Lentz of Norfolk. MAY 1964 CEDAR COUNTY NEWS
