Services were March 17 at Riverside, Cemetery, With the Rev. Steve Schorr officiating. Mrs. Bunnell was born Dec. 18, 1916, to Fredrick and Margaret (Ashenbrenner) Schwindt in Lincoln. She grew up and received her education in Nebraska. She married Glenn Bunnell in Hastings Aug. 14, 1938. The couple lived in Nebraska, Montana and Colorado while Mr. Bunnell worked in the newspaper business. In the early 1950s, Glenn, Lee and their son, Erroll, came to Hartington where Glenn worked for the Cedar County News. Fred Zimmer was the owner at the time. He worked at the paper a number of years until moving to Wolf Point, Mont. In 1958, they moved to Sterling, Colo., where Glenn worked for the Journal-Advocate. Lee moved to Denver to be close to her son after her husband died in October 1984. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sterling. Lee is survived by her son, Erroll Bunnell and his wife, Kathleen, Denver, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn.
