Wynot Tribune 8-24-1916 James Chamberlain was born December 29, 1862 in Poweshiek Co. Iowa. In 1871, at the age of nine years, James came with his parents to Ponca, NE., and from this place they came to St. James and Wynot, where the balance of his life he spent, He died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Sioux City, August 15, 1916. He leaves to mourn his death three brothers and three sisters, besides many friends. James was always an industrious boy and man, remaining with his parents until their death. He was faithful to his home ties and duties. He loved the church of the living God which he made evident by his faithful attendance. He was strictly temperate in all his habits and passes on with assurance of reward for faithful service rendered. The funeral was held from the Methodist church by Rev. K.O. Pearson, the body being buried in the family lot of the local cemetery.
