George came to Cedar county in 1882 and died at Sioux City, Iowa, 12 Oct, at the age of 70 after a lingering illness. The remains were brought here Sat eve. Born in Nicktown, Penn. 20 June 1852, he came here in 1822 settling at St. James, until 15 years ago when he moved to Sioux City. His wife died in 1904. Ten Children survive him. Antony and Ben of Hartington, Mrs. Levi Eby of Laurel, Joe and Wendell of Selby, SD, Jacob of Banning, Calif., Mrs. Katherine Shaughney, Mrs. Roy (Barbara) O'Leary and Frances and Leonard of Sioux City. Mrs. Joe (Mary) Obert, a daughter, died in 1919. Three brothers, two in Penn. and one in Idaho survive him. OCTOBER 14, 1922 CEDAR COUNTY NEWS
