ERNEST FERBER AGED RESIDENT OF WYNOT, BURIED THERE LAST FRIDAY Mrs. Ernest Ferber, for almost 66 years a continous resident of Cedar County was buried last Friday afternoon at Wynot, her death having occured on Wednesday, May 23, after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held from Wynot Methodist Church and were conducted by Rev. D.M. McIntosh. Mrs. Ferber, whose maiden name was Charlotte Stuard Hay was born in Pennsylvania on November 24, 1854, being 68 years of age at the time of her death. She came to Cedar county when two years old, moving from St. James to Wynot about thirteen years ago. In September, 1868 she was married to John Hoover, four children being born to this union. In December of 1879, she married her second husband, and to this union three children were born. Her surviving children are James R. Hoover, Mary E. Bouteller, Mary M. Jacobs, Clara M. Taggart, Harry H. Ferber, Clarence A. Ferber, and Florence G. Currington. A step-son Tress C. Ferber, also survives her. She has always been a faithful member of the Methodist Church and devoted much time and effort to its support. Her life was one of service, which won for her a large circle of friends.
