Services were March 17 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Clearwater, with the Rev. Daniel J. Feusse officiating. Burial was held in the Clearwater Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve, Mike, Tim, Terry, Tom and Kevin Good and David Finley. Honorary pallbearers were Ann Boelter, Becky Stamp, Jennifer Finley, Melissa Finley and Nancy Finley. Lois grew up on her parents' farm southwest of Clearwater and graduated from the Clearwater High School. After graduation she taught rural school for a short time. She married Howard LaVern Finley Dec. 26, 1939, in Atkinson. The couple lived at Neligh and afterwards farmed at Elgin and Page before moving to Ewing Jan. 1, 1958. They operated the Broadway Bar in Ewing until 1981. Lois was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Clearwater. Survivors include, a son, Thomas Finley and his wife, Bonnie, Hartington; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn (James) Good, Ewing; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dean, Norfolk; Merle, Fremont and Raymond, Neligh; two sisters, Laura Maulding, Neligh and Mildred Rutledge Gaughanbaugh, Clearwater; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Dec. 11, 1989; two brothers, Edward and Harold; and four sisters, Violet Thompson, Opal Michael, Ethel Westerhoff and Wilda Anderson.
