Visitation was Oct. 17. 1999, at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. A vigil service was held later that evening at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley. Mass of Christian Burial was Oct. 18, 1999, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, with Rev. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial was in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Bow Valley. Pallbearers were David Fischer Jr., Joe Fischer, John Fischer, Thomas Fischer, Dan Fischer, Robert Rothe, Trinity Thioulon and Buddy Lammers. Bill was born March 24, 1978, to David A. and Vonda Lee (Kollars) Fischer in Hartington. He grew up in the Bow Valley area and graduated from Hartington Public High School in 1996. He graduated from Southeast Community College in Lincoln, studying motorcycle repair and welding. He had been working for Lincoln Manufacturing as a steel fabricator. Bill also made picture frames for local art galleries in Lincoln. His main hobby was working on and building motorcycles. Survivors include: his parents, David and Vonda Fischer, Hartington; ten brothers and sisters, Ruth and Thomas Wiebelhaus, Fordyce; David Jr. and Traci Fischer, Fordyce; Joe Fischer, Yankton, S.D.: John and Jana Fischer, Lincoln; Karen Fischer, Yankton, S.D., Jean Fischer, Hartington; Mary Fischer, Hartington; Lisa Fischer, Hartington; Thomas Fischer, Hartington; and Dan Fischer, Hartington; his maternal grandparents, Darlo and Irene Kollars, Casa Grande, Ariz.; his paternal grandfather, Emery Fischer, Hartington.
