Visitation was May 14 at Resseguie Funeral Home, Madison, with a rosary later that evening at the church. Funeral services were May 15 at St. Leonard's Catholic Church, Madison, with Rev. Stanley Kasun officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery, Madison. Pallbearers were Brian Geary, Russ Berg, Greg Geary, Ryan Berg, Tom Geary, Ross Berg, Sean Geary and cole Custer. Honorary pallbearers were Erin Geary, KatieJo Geary, Leslie Frank and Mackensie Geary. Gloria was born Feb. 8, 1927, to Aaron and Agnes (Rief) Wehenkel at Tidlen. She went to St. Leonard's Elementary School, graduated from Madison High School in 1944, and attended Norfolk Junior College and Wayne State College. She married William Geary, June 7, 1948, at St. Leonard's Catholic Church, Madison. She was a bookkeeper at the Brogan Law Office, Madison, and worked for several years at the Madison County Courthouse and did community volunteering. She was a member of St. Leonard's Catholic Church and Guild, L.A.F., and P.E.O., and was a member of the Senior Citizens and Museum Board. She is survived by three sons and two daughters and their spouses: Pat and Linda Geary, Omaha; Mike and Janie Geary, Battle Creek; Bob and Reah Geary, Sioux City, Iowa; Nancy and Bob Berg, O'Neill; and Betty Geary, Madison; 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Ardes Brau, Omaha and DiAnne Gilg, Atkinson.
