GREGG Ponca - Rose L. Gregg, 73, died Thrusday, April 3, 1997 at her daughter Carol’s residence in Wynot. Visitation was Sunday, April 6, 1997 at Salem Lutheran Church, Ponca, with arrangements made by Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Funeral Services were held Monday, April 7, 1997 at Salem Lutheran Church, Ponca with Rev. John Plowman officiating. Burial was in Silver Ridge Cemetery, Ponca. Pallberarers were Darrel Heald, Bob Burcham, Doug Russell, Michael Rasmussen, Jim Meyer and Loy Nelson. Honorary pallbearers were David and Jena McNear, Tim and Nolan Ryan, Katie, John and Paula Gregg, Julie, Nicholas and Gabriel Tramp, and Michael Strickland. Rose was born November 16, 1923 to Edgar L. and Sara B. Hanson Gray in Vermillion, SD. Rose graduated from University High School at Vermillion, SD. She worked at JC Penneys and G. Misenholders Co. in Vermillion, Sd. On Dec. 2, 1948 she married Willard Gregg in LuVerne, Minn. He died March 8, 1990. She and her husband lived near Ponca all of her life. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Ponca, and the Ponca American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Norman Tramp, Wynot, Jerri Gregg, Ponca, Mrs. Dan Ryan Jackson, two sons, Michael Gregg and Mark and Peggy Gregg, Ponca. Eleven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William Lee, and her husband.
