Hansen Dies Sunday Services Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran ------------- Funeral services for John Peter Hansen, 74, who died at his home here March 2, following a stroke two weeks ago, were held from Trinity Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 with Rev. O.L. Levorson officiating. Burial was made in the Hartington cemetery under the direciton of Smith Funeral Home. Pallberaers were: Alvin Hahne, Otto Hahne, Andrew Anderson, Jim U. Christensen, Fred Joslin, and Ben Dirks. John Peter, son of Ane and Anders Hansen was born July 3, 1877 in Haarby, Denmark. He came to America settling at Fremont in 1892. In 1902 he came to Cedar county. He was married to Anna Andersen in New York, June 14, 1911. they made their home on a farm southeast of Hartington. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Denmark. He was a member of the Danish Brotherhood Lodge No. 26 of Fremont. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Henry of Compton, Calif., and Axel and Elmer of Hartington; 8 granchildren; and a sister in Denmark. Among those who came to attend the funeral services were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jensen, Elmer Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Mintken, Mrs. Ida Petersen and Mrs. Jim Sauers, all cousins from Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen of Compton, Calif,; and Mr. and Mrs. Fred W.
