Hewitt RICHARDSON, Texas - Betty L. Hewitt, 76, died Jan. 7, 2001. Serivces were Jan. 9 at Restland Memorial Park in the Abby Chapel. Pallbearers were Robert, Kevin and Chris Hughes, Brad Lewis and Jon Wiechelman. Burial followed at the Plano Mutual Cemetery, Plano, Texas. Betty Lou was born to William L. and Laura M. (Strivens) Mitchell Oct. 21, 1924, on a farm near Coleridge. She was a 1942 graduate of Coleridge High School. She married Robert F. Hewitt July 20, 1946, in Laramie, Wyo. Survivors include two daughters and their spouses, Barbara and Robert Hughes, Plano, Texas; and Julie and Brad Lewis, Richardson, Texas, grandsons, Kevin and Chris Hughes, Plano, Texas; Gary Lewis, Richardson, Texas; a granddaughter, Nikki Lewis, Richardson, Texas; and a sister, Donna J. Wiechelman, Hartington. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, Ronald and Gary Hewitt; and grandson, Robert Hewitt.
