Services were July 23 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Norfolk. The Rev. Steve Geiger, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Yankton, officiated. Burial was held in the St.Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Hille, Cory Hille, Scott Hille, Jason Haase, Ron Butterfield and Gary Drefke. Hille was born April 11, 1944, to Melvin and Dorothy (Butterfield) Hille in Cuming County. He attended rural School District 48 near Wisner and St. Paul's Lutheran School in Norfolk. He graduated from Norfolk High School in 1962, then attended Norfolk Junior College for two years. In 1967, he graduated from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a degree in mechanical engineering. He married Betty Ardren Aug. 16, 1969, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Waterloo, Iowa. He worked for John Deere Company in Waterloo, then Everco Industries in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was employed by Hydraulic Components Inc., Hartington, at the time of his death. Mr. Hille was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Yankton. Survivors include his wife; one son, Jonathan Hille, Yankton, S.D.; one daughter, Catherine Hille, Ames, Iowa; his parents, Norfolk; two brothers, Larry, Hadar; and Eugene, Norfolk; and one sister, Judy Burnett, Norfolk.
