"Danny" Hourigan OMAHA - Charles D. "Danny" Hourigan, 45, Omaha, died March 31, 1999, at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha. Services were April 3 at Hanscom Park United Methodist Church, Omaha. The Rev. Lawrence H. Moffet officiated. The soloist was Gary Bacon, Scottsbluff, uncle of Danny. Burial was held in the Blair Cemetery, Blair. All funeral arrangements were made by Heafey Heafey-Hoffman and Cutler, Omaha. Pallbearers were Tom Lammers, Todd Lammers, Scott Wedel, Jim Lutmer and Kelly Kramer, all nephews of Danny; and Lenny Harland, Greg Beck and Ron Ward. Charles D. "Danny" Hourigan was born Sept. 7, 1953, to Robert and Vesta (Bacon) Beig in Hastings. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hartington. Danny attended Hartington Public School and graduated in 1971. He also attended Wayne State College, Wayne. Danny married Sandy Ward, Blair, in September of 1977. He worked in the Engineering Department of the State of Nebraska Department of Roads. Later, he had his own business. He is survived by his wife Sandy, and their daughter, Katie Jean, Omaha; his parents, Robert and Vesta Beig, Hartington; five sisters and their spouses: Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Jeannie) Lammers, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Peg) Wedel, Blair; Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Charlotte) Martinez, Henderson, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. (Leonard) Snook, Hartington and Miss DeAnn Beig, Omaha; one brother and his spouse, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beig Jr., of Jackpot, Nev.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
