Permission granted by: Rob Dump, Editor, Cedar County News ====================================================================== Cedar County News, February 18, 1932 Mother of Mrs. Burbach Dies in Festin, IA Mrs. Helena Imoehl Dies at the Age of 81 years Mrs. Helena Imoehl, 81, mother of Mrs. L.F. Burbach of Hartington, died Monday afternoon, February 8, at her home in Festina, IA after an illness of two years. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Festina. Mrs. Imoehl, formerly Helena Doer, was born in Philadelphia, Penn., on the 29th of day of April in 1851. When just a few weeks old she came with her parents to Festina, Iowa, where she resided until her death. In 1873 on the 15th day of June, Helena Doer and Joseph Imoehl were united in marriage. The young couple began farming near Castina, where they farmed for about 40 years before retirng and moving to Castina, where they have made their home for over 20 years. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Imoehl, nine of whom are still living. Surviving Mrs. Imoehl are her husband, six daughters, Mrs. Anna Dohm of Belden, Mrs. J.G. Reifenrath of Wynot, Mrs. Amelia Hemsath of near Festina, Mrs. Fred Hagemann of Fort Atkinson of near Clamer, Iowa, and Mrs. L.F. Burbach of this city, and three sons, Joseph, Jr. of near Wynot and John and Frank of near Festina. One child Rose, died at the age of ten years.
