Rev. R.E. Daughetee of Ponca officiated. Solos were sung by Art Bond. Pallbearers were Louis Sorensen, L.A. Lauritzen, Ervin Kleinberg, G.A. Snowe, Fred Anderson and Henry Juergens. Burial was under the direction of Jones Mortuary was in the Wynot cemetery. Relatives and friends from a distance attending the funeral were Miss Valerie Kirkpatrick of Washington DC., Mrs. Arthur Olson of Great Bend Ks., Mrs. Bertha Smith and son Ervin, and Mrs. Cyril O'Brien, all of Sioux City. Survivors are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. E.T. Arndt of Wynot, Mrs. Virgil Christensen of Seattle, Wash., Miss Valerie Kirkpatrick, Washington, D.C., Ronald of Victor, ID., and Lloyd in Indiana. His wife died at Wynot in 1938. Mr. Kirkpatrick had been a resident of Wynot since the beginning of the town in 1907, being a section foreman on the railroad here for many years. One of a family of 19 children, Mr. Kirkpatrick was born in Jefferson County, IA., March 7, 1860. He was married to Miss Lena Nedrow at Selma, IA., November 10, 1885. Besides the sons and daughters, he is survived by several grandchildren.
