Visitation was May 6 at Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. A vigil service was held later that evening at Holy Family (Sts. Peter and Paul) Catholic Church, Bow valley. Mass of Christian Burial was held May 7 at Holy Family (Sts. Peter and Paul) Catholic Church with Rev. Ross Burkhalter officiating. Burial was in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Bow Valley. Pallbearers were Larry Pick, Daniel Pick, Linus Lange, Pete Kleinschmit, Gary Kleinschmit and Charles Tramp. Honorary pallbearers were Diane Hochstein, Mary Stella Kuehler, Doris Noecker, Rose Thoene, Kathryn Kathol and Leona Kruse. Dorothea was born Sept. 11, 1906, to Anton and Theresa (Burbach) Pick in Bow Valley. She married Louis T. Kleinschmit Feb. 24, 1936, in Bow Valley. He died March 23, 1980. She grew up in the Bow Valley area. After her marriage, she and her husband farmed west of Bow valley. They retired and moved into Bow Valley in 1974. She had been a resident of the Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge, since Feb. 13, 2000. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, the Rosary Club and the Christian Mothers. Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Loretta Pick, Bow Valley, Mary Kleinschmit, Bow Valley, and Agatha Kleinschmit, Hartington, and 45 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Anthony L. Pick and Edwin Pick, and one sister, Martha Foecke.
