She died at Omaha, NE., Sunday, January 7, 1912. She is survived by her father, four brothers, Leonard, Alex, and Frank of this place and Joe of Winner, SD., and three sisters, Mrs. Herber of Guthrie, Okla., Mrs. Irle of Bow Valley, and Margaret. Her death came as a shock to her friends and family. She had submitted to an operation for appendicitis at Omaha several weeks ago, having recovered from the same, and expected to leave Omaha Monday to visit her sister, but became suddenly ill Sunday and passed away. Katy Koch was born and raised in Cedar County and was a young lady highly esteemed by all who knew her. The afflicted father and family have this heartfelt sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral was held Friday.
