The funeral took place from Holy Trinity church and interment was made at Bow Valley. The deceased was born in Westphalia, Germany, November 10, 1850, and came to this country in 1880. He was one of Cedar County's pioneers, having lived here most of the time since ’83. He was a member of the Laid Wer Verein which took part in the funeral service. He leaves a wife and four children, Mrs. Rischel of Kansas City, Mrs. Bruening of Norfolk and Julius and Louis Kramer all of whom except Mrs. Bruening were present at the funeral. The Herald extends deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives in their great loss.
