Kramer (PHOTO) HARTINGTON - Richard F. Kramer, 91, Hartington, died Dec. 17, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare, Hartington. Visitation was Dec. 19 at Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington, with a vigil service held later that evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be Dec. 20, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, with Rev. William Sanderson officiating. Burial will be held at St. Michael's cemetery, Hartington, with military services conducted by Hartington VFW Post 5283. Pallbearers will be Richard Burbach, Bill Roeder, Gayle Kramer, Marcel Kramer, Chuck Kramer, Gerard Arens, Kevin Kube and Tom Kuchta. Honorary pallbearers will be Irma Burbach, Sue Roeder, Sheila Kramer, Donna Kramer, Debbie Arens, Juanita Kube, LaDonna Kuchta, Dennis and Rita Lammers, Marcel and Denelda Becker, Henry and JeAnn Sudbeck, Kenny and Charlotte Pick, LeRoy and Almeda Arens, Clair and Diane Arens, and Rollie and Mary Jean Gast. Richard was born Oct. 10, 1909, to Julius and Mary (Sudbeck) Kramer in Bow Valley. He married Isabelle Arens Feb. 26, 1946, in Bow Valley. He grew up and farmed on the same farm northeast of Hartington until moving into Hartington in 1987. He served in the Navy during WWII from April 28, 1942 to Dec. 15, 1945. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was a member of the Hartington VFW Post #5283. Survivors include his wife, Isabelle, Hartington; two brothers and their wives, Martin and Mildred Kramer, Crofton, and Roman and Rosalla Kramer, Crofton; and one sister, Elsie Elliott, Hartington. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ivan and Cyril Kramer; and three sisters, Caroline Kramer, Millie Roeder and Lucy Rameil.
