Kurtzhals, 82, died Feb. 28, 1999, Osmond, at Osmond General Hospital. Visitation was March 2 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge. Funeral services will be held March 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St.Michael's Catholic Church, Coleridge, with Rev. Stan Schmit officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Coleridge. Pallbearers will be Ray Steffen, David Haselhorst, Mark Gubbels, Francis Steffen, Roger Kirscht and Tom Gubbels. Agnes was born Dec. 30, 1916, to John and Ida (Kube) Baker in Randolph. She married Henry M. Kurtzhals Aug. 29, 1939, in Randolph. He died Dec. 12, 1993. Agnes grew up in Randolph and after her marriage they farmed east of Coleridge. She has been a resident of Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge for three years. Agnes was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and Altar Society, Coleridge; and the Christian Mothers. Survivors include six children and their spouses, Carolyn and Francis Steffen, Crofton; Phyllis and Roger Kirscht, Albertville, Minn.; Bernadette and Dale McConell, Fair Grove, Mo.; Violet and Stanley Pinkelman, St. James; Margaret and Keith Benoit, Coleridge; and Francis Kurtzhals, Coleridge; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tony J. Baker, Randolph. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Patricia Gubbels; a great-grandson, Justin Andersen; a sister, Oliva Dunn; and an infant brother. Wednesday.
