Lammers HARTINGTON - John M. Lammers, 19, died Sept. 29, 1999, at his residence. Visitation was Oct. 1 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington. Mass of Christian Burial was Oct. 2 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Rev. William Sanderson officiating. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hartington. Pallbearers were Scott Arens, Curtis Domina, Nick Lammers, Jody Boeckman, Keith Sudbeck and Gerry Sudbeck. Honorary pallbearers were the Cedar Catholic Class of 1998 and the officers of the Hartington FFA Chapter. John was born Feb. 25, 1980, to Joseph R. and Kathleen Marie (Sudbeck) Lammers in Yankton, S.D. He grew up and lived southwest of Hartington all of his life. He was a 1998 graduate of Cedar Catholic High School where he participated in band, football and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, an EME and received the Serra Altar Boy Award. John was also a member of the Pleasant Dale 4-H Club and received the Outstanding 4-H Service Award. He was very active in showing dairy cattle. He was a member and former officer of the Hartington FFA chapter, receiving numerous local and state awards. He loved being part of a farm family. Survivors include his parents, Joe and Kathy Lammers, Hartington; six brothers and sisters, Ray, Tracy, Chris, Tim, Emma and Sarah Lammers, all at home; maternal grandparents, Norman and Delores Sudbeck, Hartington; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Lammers, Hartington; maternal great-grandmother Frances Sudbeck, Bow Valley; paternal great-grandmother, Viola Lammers, Yankton, S.D.
