Lauer home north of Hartington for the second time in the past two months when their little daughter, Grace died Saturday night only six weeks after the death of her baby brother, Frederick Eugene. The little girl was poisoned by eating some wild ground cherries which she found in the yard at her parents' home. Altho it is not certain whether the wild berries caused the child’s death, there was no other cause to which the illness could be attributed. She was taken sick a little over a week ago just after she had eaten the berries. She was born December 28, 1928. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Holy Trinity church with Rev. Fr. Bonnenkant reading the mass. Interment was made in St. Michael's Cemetery. Four neighbor boys, Henry Arens, Julius Arens, Jerome Schulte and Harold Peterson acted as pallbearers.
