Lemon, one of Cedar county's veteran pioneers passed away suddenly last Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.P. Bergman at Obert. Apparently in his usual health Mr. Lemon arose and went to the bath room where he was found dead a short time later. Mr. Lemon was born in Johnstown, Pa., and came to Cedar county over 50 years ago. He was one of the very first, if not actually the first, man to see farm implements in this county. He was also extensively engaged in the stock business for a number of years. He is survived by his wife who resides at Wynot and two daughters, Mrs. Bergman and Mrs. Maud Antrim, wife of the former M.E. pastor at Coleridge and one son, Samuel Lemon, Jr. The funeral, which was largely attended was held at Wynot on Tuesday.
