Mrs. Hannah M. Lenihan, formerly a resident of Cedar County, passed away at O’Neil last Thursday, following an attack of bronchial-pneumonia. For many years, Mrs. Lenihan had lived southeast of Coleridge where she was widely known and highly esteemed among a wide circle of friends during the early days in that section, because of her admirable qualities. The body was brought back there for burial last Saturday, being shipped to Belden and then taken to Coleridge. She was born at Galena, IL. on January 6, 1852, being aged over 71 years at the time of her death. She was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McDevitt, .her death was hastened by an accidental fall down stairs. Mrs. Lenihan is survived by two daughters, Mrs. M.J. Lydon of Joy, Nebraska, and Mrs. George Hendricks of near Beldin. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mrs. John Brugel and Mrs. Brown of Albion. Funeral services were held at Coleridge on Saturday morning, interment was in St. Michael’s cemetery conducted by Rev. D. O’Sullivan.
