Lindberg Dies in Sioux City, Burial Wednesday ---------- Roger G. Lindberg, 41, of Sioux City, former Hartington resident, died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of one month. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Blessed Sacrament Catholic church in Sioux City. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Newman Flanagan officiated. Mr. Lindberg is survived by his wife, a son, Charles, and three daughters, Connie, Vickie and Sandra, all at home, and his mother, Mrs. H.H. Johnson of Hartington. Mr. Lindberg was born July 18, 1921, at Cando, N.D. He married Donna Foulk in 1946 at Hartington. Mr. Lindberg worked for the Cedar-Knox Rural Public Power District at Hartington and the Consumers Power Co., at the Consumers Power Co., at Norfolk as a lineman before going to Sioux City two years ago. He was employed in Sioux City by the Iowa Public Service Co., as a lineman. Mr. Lindberg was a veteran of World War II and member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars at Hartington. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery here. Pallbearers, all fellow employees at Iowa Public Service Co., were Don Stuart, Robert Rogers, Murray Larson, Leo Riley, Walter Trobaugh and Howard Mesz. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Davis, Jack Kennedy, Frank Haller, Don Paul, Louis Lammers and Charles Richer. Military rites were conducted by Hartington VFW Post 5283. Ed Fuchtman and Gerald Pedersen were color bearers and Merlin Weddingfeld and Marvin Griess were color guards. Duane Cummins, Merlin Evans, Lawrence Obermeyer, John Rohde, Dave Colling, Jim Griggs, George Sandrock and Donald W. Anderson were in the rifle squad. Pierce Rohde was sergeant of the squad.
