McGregor, 80, who died at the Francis Feelhaver home Saturday after a long illness, were held from the Smith Funeral Home Monday at 1:30 and from Trinity Lutheran church at 2 o'clock with Rev. O.L. Levorson officiating. Burial was made in the Hartington cemetery. Pallbearers were: Andrew Anderson, Joan Feilmeier, Bernard Schager, Walter Dresden, Herbert Bottolfsen and Otto Mitteis. Edward, son of Edgar and Susan Levi McGregor, was born December 17, 1871 at Lowden, Ia. He came to Cedar county with his parents in 1896. He was married to Matilda Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Olson, February 22, 1898. He farmed in this community for many years. He served for a long time as director of the school board and was a director of the Cedar County Farmers Telephone Co. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church. He is survived by three sons, Archie and Edward, jr., both on farms near Hartington and Ralph of Sioux City; one brother, Alex McGregor of Chowcilla, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. E.W. Childs, Mrs. Lula Olson and Mrs. Minnie Olson; 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren. A brother, Roy, and a sister, Mrs. W.N. Ewing, and a daugther, Nettie, are deceased. At the death of his daughter, Nettie, they took her daughter, LaVoine Schager, and raised her. Those who came to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McGregor and family of sioux City, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Peterson and Mrs. John Gathje of Carroll; Mrs. Wayne Ewing and Mrs. Queeney of Randolph and Mr. and Mrs. A.G.
