Visitation was held June 15 at West Center Chapel. Services were June 16 at St. Gerald Catholic Church, Omaha, with Fr. Gary Ostrander officiation. Music was provided by singer, Heidi Hausman, and organist Mary Clare Mendick. Burial was in the Calvary cemetery. Mary Jean was born Jan. 3, 1944, to Bernard and Marie (Joslin) O'Gara in Sioux City, Iowa. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and John Wade, Omaha; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Stacy Mejak, Omaha; mother, Marie O'Gara, Omaha; brothers and sister-in-law: Jerome O'Gara, Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Roger and Carol O'Gara, Elkhorn; sisters and brothers-in -law, Kathy and Gary Benschoter, Watsonville, Calif.; and Patricia and Robert Bowen, Omaha; and many nieces and nephews.
