CEDAR COUNTY NEWS - OCTOBER 23, 1919

AGED LAUREL WOMAN DIED THERE LAST WEEK


Mrs. Salina Mettlin, 84, died Tuesday, October 14, at the home of her 
daughter Mrs. U.J. Candor, at Laurel, with whom she made her home for 
the last eleven years.  Mrs. Mettlin has enjoyed good health until 
five weeks ago when she suffered a fall which broke her hip and from 
the effects of which she never rallied.  She was born in Pennsylvania 
and was a pioneer resident of Wayne, where the funeral was held Friday.
