Mohler OMAHA - Dorothy A. Mohler, 91, Omaha, formerly of Washington, D.C., died Feb. 18, 2000, at Brighton Gardens, Omaha. Visitation was Feb. 21 at Heafey, Heafey, Hoffman Mortuary, Omaha. Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 22, at St. Cecelia's Cathedral, Omaha, with Rev. Norman Hunke officiating. Burial was held at St. Francis Cemetery, Randolph, under the direction of Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Dorothy was born Sept. 23, 1908, to Anton and Christina (Lang) Abts at Randolph. She married Bruce M. Mohler Sept. 9, 1949, in Washington, D.C. She grew up in Randolph and was a graduate of St. Teresa College, Winona, Minn. Dorothy earned both her master's degree and her Ph.D. from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. She served on the National Catholic School of Social Service Faculty from 1935 to 1945 and from 1948 to 1979. She married Bruce M. Mohler Sept. 9, 1949, at Washington, D.C. Dr. Mohler was editor of Social Thought for 12 years. Survivors include her brother, LaVerne Abts, Hartington, and 13 nieces and nephews.
