CHRISTINA NELSON, 63 SUCCUMBS AT DES MOINES ON FRIDAY WYNOT - funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the Jones funeral home, at 2:00 o'clock at the Methodist Church for Mrs. Christina Nelson, 63, of Des Moines, former Wynot resident, who passed away Friday morning, Dec. 10th, at a Des Moines Hospital after about a month's illness with heart trouble. Rev. R.L. Falk of Maskell officiated at the services. Two duets were sung by Mrs. C.V. Jones and Mrs. Alfred Tesdall and Rev. and Mrs. Falk sang a duet. Christina Jacobson was born August 2, 1874, at Stockholm, Sweden, and came to America when she was 12 years of age, settling in Iowa. In 1891 she was married at Omaha to John Nelson, they lived at Randolph for some time and them came to Wynot shortly after the town was started and resided here for over a quarter of a century, being in the hotel business here for a time. Mr. Nelson died here May 17, 1934. Not long after Mr. Nelson's death, Mrs. Nelson moved to Des Moines to be near her two sons and a daughter who live there. Surviving Mrs. Nelson are two sons and four daughters, Edward and Robert Nelson and Mrs. Harry Kleinberg of Des Moines, Mrs. Ralph Guy of Maskell, Mrs. A.A. Kohlbusch of Herman, MO., and Mrs. Fred Anderson of Wynot. Also one stepson John Nelson of Montana, one sister in Minneapolis, and 12 grandchildren. Interment was in the Wynot cemetery beside her husband. Pallbearers were George Bowder, Lloyd Jones, Guy Orr, Ralph Kleinberg, Louis and Chris Thompson. All of the sons and daughters with the exception of the stepson, were present at the funeral.
