Nelson HARTINCTTON- JoAnn L. Nelson, 67, died Oct. 30, 1999, at McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D. Visitation was held Nov.2 at Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Mass of Christian Burial will be Nov. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, with Rev. Stan Schmit officiating. Burial will be at St Michael's Cemetety, Hartington. Pallbearers will be Robert Thioulon, Bart Souhrada, Jeff Nelson, Mike Nelson, Jody Nelson, Trinity Thioulon, Harmony G. Thioulon and Darrick Nelson. JoAnn was born Feb. 21, 1932, to Casper and Anna (Hendricks) Guenther in Crofton. She married Dean M. Nelson, Oct. 26, 1955, in Hartington. She grew up and lived in Crofton, graduating from Crofton High School. She worked for 15 years at the Beverly Healthcare Nursing Center, Hartington, retiring in 1994. She owned and operated JoAnn's Boutique for the past six years. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington. Survivors include her husband, Dean, Hartington; seven children and spouses, Denise and Robert Thioulon, Hartington; Diane and Bart Souhrada, Coleridge; Mike Nelson, Fort Collins, Colo.; Debra and John Pilato, Rochester, N.Y.; Myrna Feuerstein, Lennox, S.D.; Jeff and Terri Nelson, Norfolk and Jodi Nelson, Fort Collins, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; three brothers and spouses, Norbert and Karen Guenther, Crofton; Norman and Donna Guenther, Crofton; and Elmer and Marjorie Guenther, Stayton, Ore.; three sisters and spouses, Carol and Kenneth Prebay, Bridgeport, Mich.; Eileen and Daniel Crespo, Stockton, Calif.; and Betty Lou and Dean Helms, Tigart, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mark; three grandchildren, Soloman, Mark and Harmony S.; four brothers, an infant, Richard; Art, Earl and Lawrence; and one sister Mildred Schmidt.
