Peck, 73, Monday after- noon at the Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Peck died Friday at Sioux City. He had been ill about four years. Mr. Peck was born in East Bow November 27, 1881, the son of Nelson and Julia Peck. He married Dora A. Miller in Dakota City October 29, 1908. He lived in Geddes, S.D., from 1920 until 1941 when he moved to Cedar county. He had been a farmer. He is survived by his wife; three brothers, Fred of Strool, S.D.; Eugene of Coleridge, and Henry of Hartington; and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Allen of Benito, Manitoba, Canada. Burial was in the Hartington cemetery. Pallbearers were Glen Collins, Clarence Shope, Alfred Janssen, Bill Weseloh, Ernest Steffen and Ernest Brodersen. Relatives and friends from South Carolina, Illinois, Iowa and South Dakota attended the funeral. SEPTEMBER 1954 Cedar County News
