Pike, former county resident, were held at Tyndall, S.D., June 18, at the Methodist church. Mrs. Pike died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Collins, June 15, at Wynot. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Collins, and Mrs. H.A. Golde, Reliance, Sd., one son James, Riverton, Wyo., and one granddaughter. Mary Cullen Pike was born south of Wynot, at the Waucapona community. She spent her early life here and was teacher in Cedar county schools. She married H.A. Pike at Yankton and they moved to Tyndall where Mrs. Pike lived the past 55 years. Mr. Pike published the Tyndall Register for many years. Following his death Mrs. Pike was appointed postmistress at Tyndall and served in the county register of deeds office. She published the Tyndall Register from 1933 until 1937. Mrs. Pike came to Wynot in May to spend the summer with her sister. Mrs. Pike was a member of the Elizabeth Chapter of Eastern Star, the Federated Church at Tyndall and a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Pike-Wagner Post no. 2. She was a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Elizabeth Collins, Miss Frances Reifenrath of Wynot and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Conway of Omaha attended the funeral.
