Pinkelman HARTINGTON - Edwin A. Pinkelman, 77, died August 13, 1999, at Beverly Healthcare Hartington. Visitation was Aug. 16 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. A prayer service was held later that evening at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, St. James. Mass of Christian Burial Was held Aug. 17 at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, St. James, with Rev. Jay Kruse officiating. Burial was in Sts. Philip and James Cemetery, St. James. Pallbearers were Ken Ausdemore, Lonnie Pinkelman, Tracy Lammers, Brian Benscoter, Tim Osienger Jr., and Jody Pinkelman. Honorary pallbearers were the Catholic Order of Foresters. Edwin was born Jan. 30, 1922, to Jacob and Emma (Schroeder) Pinkelman in Wynot. He married Anna Wiepen May 9, 1945, in St. Helena. He grew up and lived in the Wynot and Hartington areas all of his life where he farmed. Edwin was a member of St. Philip and James Catholic Church, St. James; a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters for over 50 years, and a former school board member for District #32. He loved to play cards and was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Anna, Hartington; seven children spouses, Reinold and Bernadine Pinkelman, Tyndall, S.D.; Darlene and Dave Ausdemore, Valentine; Dolores and Dale Lammers, Hartington; Jerome and Sandy Pinkelman, Yankton, S.D.; Denese and James Benscoter, Parkston, S.D.; Deanna and Tim Osienger, Thedford; and, Dion Pinkelman, Hartington; 28 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Julius Pinkelman, Wynot. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Art and Leonard Pinkelman, and a sister, Irene Kleinschmit. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999-CEDAR COUNTY NEWS
