Provancha HARTINGTON- Donald J. Provancha, 68, died March 24, 2000, at his residence in Bloomfield. Visitation was March 26, 2000, at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Services were held March 27, 2000, at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington with Monsignor Cyril Werner officiating. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hartington. Pallbearers were Jerry Johnson, Mark Johnson, Warren Lange, Justin Lange, Calvin Schager, Elmer Johnson Jr. Donald was born Aug. 20, 1931, to Dennis and Ethel (Collins) Provancha in South Sioux City. He grew up and lived in South Sioux City and Sioux City, Iowa until moving to Hartington. He sold newspapers when he was younger. He then worked in construction and also for the carnival. He liked to play cards, stay at home and be with his friends. Donald has lived in Bloomfield for the past two years. Survivors include: four sisters: June and Steven Borgheiinck, South Sioux; Shirley Petersen, Bloomfield; Charlene and Elmer Johnson, Coleridge; Elaine Staska, Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
