Puntney, Sr., Died Saturday ---------- Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. W.B. Puntney, sr., who died suddenly at the farm home at East Bow Saturday evening. Mrs. Puntney, a lifetime resident of Cedar county, passed away at 7 o'clock while eating her evening dinner. Death was due to a heart ailment which she had suffered the past two years. At the time of her death she was 60 years, five months and 19 days of age. Rev. H.L. Niederwimmer, pastor of the Emanuel Lutheran church at Coleridge, conducted the service. Prayer was held at the home at 1:30 o'clock and final rites were held at 2:30 o'clock at the First Congregational church. Two numbers, "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Nearer My God to Thee" were sung by Miss Laurine Harris with Buford Jones serving as accompanist. Interment was made in the Hartington city cemetery under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Roman Dreesen, Henry Mitties, John Bruns, Earl Anderson, Allan Hirschman and Kenneth Bottolfson, neighbors of the deceased. Julia Madeline Wohlman, daughter of the late Anton and Mary Wiggins Wohlman, was born March 2, 1888, at East Bow. She was married to W.B. Puntney at Hartington on April 10, 1907. Mr. and Mrs. Puntney lived on a farm at Waucapona during the first three years of their married life and then moved to a farm at East Bow where they have since resided. The deceased was a member of the First Congregational church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Hartington. Mrs. Puntney is survived by her husband; seven sons, Edward A., William H., Robert C., Floyd P., Wendell C. and Raymond R., all of the Hartington community, and Ralph G. of Belden; three daughters, Miss Viola M. Puntney of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Arnold Heitman (Lucille M.) of Belden and Mrs. Clarence Vock, (Helen I.) of Coleridge; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph L., Stephen A., and Henry E. Wohlman, all of Hartington; five sisters, Mrs. Walter Dresden and Mrs. W.J. Willcox of Hartington, Mrs. Lulu Lill and Mrs. Stena Hirschman of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. George Kemp of British Columbia, Can., and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ray G. Eveleth of Murdo, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hight, White River, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ellermeier, Mrs. George Classen and Mr. and Mrs. Bruno B. Boettcher, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lanphear and son, Wynot; Mr. and Mrs. George Zink and Mrs. Adolph Broderson and daugther, Norma Jean, of Randolph, Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Sorrensen and daughter, JoLynn, of Sioux City and Mrs. Lulu Lill of St. Louis, Mo.
