Services were Aug. 20 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Laurel, with Rev. William Engebretsen officiating. Burial was held at Laurel Cemetery, Laurel. Pallbearers were Dorothy's grandchildren, spouses, and great-grand- children. Tammy and David Bogema; Stephanie Bogema, Meghan Bogema, Todd Fluent; Karla Fluent; Brittany Fluent; Taylor Fluent; Morgan Fluent; Dr. Troy and Carol Fluent; Autumn Fluent; Dotty and James Zelony and Olivia Zelony. Dorothy Thelma Rastede, was born April 11, 1920, to Pervis and Thelma (Allen) Lamm at Allen. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Allen. She graduated from Concord High School May 12, 1938. Dorothy married Harvey Rastede June 26, 1938, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church east of Concord. The couple farmed south of Laurel and farmed in Cedar and Wayne counties. The couple retired into Laurel in 1984. Dorothy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Laurel, and Lutheran Women's Missionary League, She was an avid bridge player, belonged to Laurel Bowling League, and delivered meals on wheels. Dorothy Rastede is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Marilyn Rastede, Norfolk; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Emmett Fluent, Hartington, and Jan and Jonathon Schmitt, Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Allen "Bruz" and Carol Lamm, Newcastle; one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and John Rohan, Newcastle; and several nieces and nephews.
