Visitation will be Aug. 18 from 1-6 p.m. with a rosary at 2 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. An 8 p.m. vigil service will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley. A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time Aug. 19 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Aug. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, with Rev. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Bow Valley, with military services conducted by the Wynot American Legion Post #31. Pallbearers will be Scott Mines, Martin Haas, Cory Mines, Dennis Arens Jr., John Heine and Justin Heine. Honorary pallbearers will be the fourth and fifth grade classes of East Catholic Elementary, Bow Valley. Paul was born April 21, 1920, to Nicholas and Mary (Schnieders) Rolfes in Bow Valley. He grew up and lived on the same farm all of his life. He continued to farm until his illness. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942-1945 He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include two sisters, Clara Heine, St. Helena; and Sister Frances Ann Rolfes, Laredo, Texas; and twelve nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Rolfes, Edelwalda Mines; a brother, William Rolfes; and two brothers in-law, Alphonse Heine and Bernard Mines.
