Roumpf, 89, died Nov. 10, 1998, at her residence in Hartington. Visitation was Nov. 12, 1998, at the Wintz Funeral home, Hartington. Funeral services were Nov. 13, 1998, at First Congregational U.C.C., Hartington, with Rev. Robert Neu officiating. Burial was in the Hartington City Cemetery, Hartington. Pallbearers were Derek Mathiason, Brant Mathiason, Chad Mathiason, Todd Knutson, Mark Maurer, Rob Morten, Rick Benjamin and Kelly Knutson. Honorary pallbearers were Cheri Morten, Carla Maurer, Lisa Korth, Janell Stratman, Kathy Mathiason, Gail Stratman, Terry Korth and Stacy Knutson. Delia was born April 4, 1909, to John M. and Mary A. (Stark) Hintz in Coleridge. She married Roy A. Benjamin Feb. 24, 1934, in Coleridge. He died Aug. 21, 1973. Delia grew up in the Coleridge area and graduated from Coleridge High School in 1927. She received her teaching certificate from Wayne State College and taught rural school in the Coleridge area. She and her husband farmed in the Coleridge area. She moved to Hartington a few years after his death. Delia married George Roumpf Feb. 14, 1981, in Hartington. He died Feb. 5, 1998. She and George lived in Clarks until moving to Hartington in 1986. Delia was a member of First Congregtional United Church of Christ and the Ladies Circle, Hartington. Survivors include: a son and wife, Gene and Virginia Benjamin, Royal; a daughter and husband, Bonnell and Claude Mathiason, Hartington; a son-in-law and wife, Ray and Kathy Knutson, Hartington; ten grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Sala, Wayne, and Marion Brayton, Grand Junction, Colo.; and a sister-in-law, Lois Hintz, Belden. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a daughter, Mary Lou Knutson; a grandson, Scott Benjamin; a great-grandson, Benjamin Morten; three brothers and four sisters.
