Saloma, 59, who died Saturday morning of heart disease and complications at the convent at Mudelein, Ill. were held Monday morning at 10:00 at Mundelein. Sister Saloma, daughter of Chistopher and Catherine Eickleman, was born at St. Helena, February 22, 1880. When nine years old, she entered school at Conception, Mo., Six years later she returned to Cedar County where she taught school until she was 22. She then returned to Conception where she took the vows and became a nun, and continued teaching. 1n 1933 she was appointed Mother Superior of the convent. For the past four years she has been at Mudelein because of poor health. Surviving are four sisters, Sister M. Bonefature and Sister M. Conagunda of conception and Mrs. Josephine Wieseler and Mrs. Clara Jensen of St. Helena. Relatives were unable to attend the funeral because of illness.
