Darland of Coleridge, passed away at the home of another son, Charles, at Mr. Vernon, S.D., last Sunday. The body was brot to Coleridge where the funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. S.A. Willard of the Hartington Congregational church, being the minister in charge. Mrs. Schwarzenbach was born October 14, 1834, in the province of Hanover, Germany, where her early life was spent. She came to America in 1852, locating in LaSalle county Ill., where a sister resided. She was married to Mr. Schwarzenbach July 26, 1861. After residing in Cass and Shelby counties in Iowa they came to Cedar county in 1898. Mr. Schwarzenbach died at the old home here in 1912 since which time Mrs. Schwarzenbach resided with her son at Mr. Vernon. She enjoyed unusually good health until about a week before her death when she was stricken with pneumonia. She was aged 85 years and 12 days. She is survived by six children, Fred and Andrew Schwarzenbach and Mrs. Darland of Coleridge, Charles of Mt. Vernon; William of Lake Park, Ia., and Mrs. Wm. ...
