Services will be Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. At Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, with Rev. William Sanderson officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery, Hartington. Pallbearers will be Kelly Schommer, Tom Scoville, Jim Scoville, and Mike Scoville. Maurine was born Sept. 3, 1902 to C. P. "Peter" and Nora (Heffernan) Garvey in Jackson. Maurine was raised in Hartington and graduated from Holy Trinity High School. She Married Ralph John Scoville in August 1926. He died July 11, 1952. Maurine and Ralph had three children, Robert "Bob", Jack and Betty. Maurine was a business person all of her life and managed her properties until the end. She ran the Chief for several years before renting it to others. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer in her younger days. She was also an experianced horse woman and belonged to the Silver Bell Saddle Club in Hartington in the earlier years. Above all, Maurine's most pleasureable days have been spent with her family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, have always been the joy of her life. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include a son and his wife, Jack and Joanne Scoville, Sioux City, Iowa; a daughter and her husband, Betty and Jerry Schommer, Hartington; a daughter-in-law, Emile Scoville, Sioux City, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Thomas and his wife Brenda Scoville, James Roxanne and Michael Scoville, Kelly and his wife, Beth Schommer; Kris Farnsworth; Robin and Lisa Scoville; six great-grandchildren, Christopher Scoville, Casey Jay Farnsworth, Lexi Maurine and Kelby James Schommer, Gabriel and Savannah Scoville.
