Sealer COLERIDGE - Helen E. Sealer, 90, died July 29, 1999, at the Sister James Nursing Home, Yankton, S.D. Visitation was July 30, at the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge. Funeral services were held July 31, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge, with Rev. Norm Sulaica officiating. Burial was in the Lawn Ridge Cemetery, Coleridge. Pallbearers were Bob Brockman, Dan Osborne, Cody Osborne, Travis Osborne, Bryan Kralicek and Skip Sorenson. Helen was born April 23, 1909, to Charles and Elizabeth (Keanan) Gibson in Coleridge. On Dec. 10, 1930, she married Raymond J. Brockman in Coleridge. He died Oct. 16, 1955. Her second marriage was to Phillip Sealer. She grew up in Coleridge and graduated from Coleridge High School in 1927. Helen and Ray lived in several locations from 1940-1945 because of employment. In 1945, Helen and Ray moved to Center and lived there until moving to Yankton, S.D. in 1976, Helen had been a resident of the Sister James Nursing Home, Yankton, S.D., since 1985. She was a former member of the Kounze Memorial Lutheran Church, Omaha. She was active in her church circles and was an excellent cook. Survivors include a son and spouse: John "Jack" and Jean Brockman, Yankton, S.D.; a sister, Rena Mae Gibson, Omaha; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
