The Rev. Kenneth Franzen officiated with burial in the Wynot City Cemetery. Miss Smith was born at Jefferson SD on December 26, 1878 to John and Phoebe McCabes Smith. She came to Nebraska in 1901 and to Cedar County in 1968. Miss Smith was a domestic housekeeper and a member of the Ladies Aid. She died June 6, in Yankton Hospital at the age of 94. Pallbearers were Rodney, David, Randy and Steve Bowder, Vernon Guy and Alva Ewing. Survivors include her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
