Funeral services were Jan. 18 at St. Philip Neri Chruch, Alameda. Burial was in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward, Calif. Greer Family Mortuary, Alameda, was in charge of the arrangements. Romaine was born July 3, 1927, to Frank and Margaret Leise at Fordyce. She moved to Norfolk as a child, attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She married Bill Stier, Alameda, April 24, 1955. She was employed as a real estate agent in Gallagher and Lindsey, Calif., for more than 20 years. Survivors include her husband; three sons and their wives, Matthew, Alameda; John and Mandy, Alameda; and Paul and Deena, San Laendro, Calif.; two daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Peter McNamara, Alameda; and Ann and Mark Peters, Folsom, Calif.; one brother, Gerald Leise, Norfolk; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters. Memorials may be directed to the Shrine of St. Jude, San Francisco, Calif.
