Tramp BEAVER LAKE-- Jerome N."Jerry" Tramp, 75, died Oct. 25, 1999, at his residence. Visitation was Oct. 28 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Crofton. Mass of Christian Burial was Oct. 29 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton, with Rev. Bob English officiating. Burial was at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Crofton. Military Services were provided by Crofton American Legion Post # 128. Pallbearers were Kenny Arens, Larry Arens, Scott Kimsey, Harold Short, Christian R. Tramp and Daniel M. Tramp. Jerome was born Jan. 31, 1924, to Peter C. and Theresa (Hegge) Tramp in Crofton. He married Mary Jane Ettleman. He grew up in Crofton and served in the Army during WWII and was a Prisoner of War. He owned Aten Resort for several years during the mid 1970s. For 20 years he was superintendent of the Omaha Traffic Engineering Department. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Blythe, Calif., and enjoyed many active pursuits of retirement, which included raising exotic birds and lapidary crafts. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Tramp, Beaver Lake; three children and spouses, Robert J. and Jean Tramp, Cederedge, Colo.; Duane W. and Kathie Tramp, Sabetha, Kan.; Cheryl A. "Cheri' Menter, Omaha; three step- children and spouses, Prudy and James Abney, Hurst, Texas: Patty and Keith Short, Sedalia, Mo.; and Charles and Janelle Stegman, Crescent, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Giles Tramp, Gretna; and Alvin Tramp, Omaha; and one sister, Joan Cook, Leeds, Ala. He was preceded in death by his Parents; wife, Naomi Tramp; two sisters, Frances Arens and Mary Ann Arens: three brothers, Art, Donald and Linus Tramp: an infant sister, Angeline Tramp; and infant brother, Dennis Tramp.
